How it works
Initial contact
you view my baseline packages and like what you see or have some questions so you get in touch via email or contact form. any package can be adjusted to fit your specific needs and i am happy to answer any questions you may have.
NEXT, we set up a phone call to GET BETTER Acquainted and confirm we feel like a good fit.
THE PAPERWORK
once we craft a package that you are excited about, i will send over the contract and invoice, which is 50% of the total. The first payment is due at the time of booking and the final payment will be due within one week of your wedding date. weddings are expensive so feel free to inquire directly about payment plans.
if you have decided to add on an engagement session to your package we will work out the date, theme, location and any other details.
Plan with Purpose
Approaching the wedding date we will have a check-in where we will go over timeline, special requests and all the nitty gritty details. I want to know what you’re excited about, what you’re nervous about, what your pinterest board looks like — all of it. i’m here to offer support as a professional and as an empathetic ear. I’ll connect with your coordinator aka my new teammate for the day.
party time
the part you’ve been waiting for, the part where you enjoy the hell out of your wedding. i and my team assist with posing, organizing family and wedding party and keeping us on track of time. you get to offload the thinking on to us and just bask in your celebration. it is your time to be present with the people you love most and i make sure you look good doing it. whether posed or candid, your memories are captured with love. you get to go home tired and happy, knowing you had a team of pros taking care of you.
delivery
shortly after the wedding you will receive a sneak peek album spanning all parts of the day. consider this an appetizer until dinner is served.
within 12 weeks you will have a masterfully curated and edited collection of photos to enjoy for a lifetime. albums are delivered via an online album where you can share your photos with your loved ones and download high resolution files.
I also offer print and physical album services so you can bring your photos to life at home.

so you want to know who will be your 3rd wheel all day? my name is tara (pronounced like terra) and i love animals, hunching over an art project until my back hurts, wandering thrift stores for hours, lifting weights and ice cold espresso. I studied photography and textiles art at san francisco state and then came back to southern california to get some hands on experience in the field. that was nearly 10 years ago and the rest is history. these days i shoot not only weddings, but also portrait, family and lifestyle sessions and the occasional corporate headshot or product photo. i love my job and connecting with new people on an intimate level. it is truly the biggest honor to be trusted with capturing and telling your stories.
